Grades will be posted in the locked folder after scores have been calculated. They will be listed by your student ID number (NOT your social security number, which you should keep private). If your test score is missing, it could be for a number of reasons (test taken at DSP, test taken late, no student ID number on file, computer display problem, or other irregularity). Standard grade cutoffs apply: 90s = As, 80s = Bs, 70s= Cs, 60s = Ds, 59 and below = Fs. Grade scores ending in 0 - 2 earn a minus (for example, a 72 is a C-), those that end in 8 - 9 earn a plus (for example, an 89 is a B+). If you would like to review a test or your presentation, visit a TA or the professor during office hours. You will be able to review a test key. Tests may not be taken out of the Prof's or TA's office, and copying of the questions is not allowed. Remember that each test is "self contained" and the final is not cumulative, so you don't need to memorize questions from a previous test for the final. A few people report a grainy image of the grade spreadsheet. If your grade isn't clear, try checking on a different computer or try hitting the "refresh" button. I have not been able to duplicate the problem, but in one case, a student saw a "D" when she was expecting a "B." She had a fit (even though her numeric average was an 84). Turns out, on her computer, the middle line on the "B" wasn't displaying. Moral of the story: if the display looks odd, check it on a different computer before you freak.
Willy (the professor's dachshund) is the official sponsor of the grade page. He's here to remind you that there are things in life that are much more important than grades. Like Willy, for example. If you don't think so, just ask him. |
