Herb Bread

This makes a nice alternative to the more traditional garlic bread. It leaves the cook the option of adding "whatever." Any French bread will do, but sour dough is my preference. This spread is enough to fill 1 loaf generously.

1 Stick

1/4 Cup

1/4 Cup

1 Tbsp

1 t.

Butter

Finely Chopped Celery Leaves

Green Onion Tops

Lemon Juice

Sweet Basil (either dry or fresh)

Mix the butter with the herbs and lemon; spread on sliced bread; reassemble slices in loaf shape, wrap with foil and place in 350 degree oven for 30 min.
